KLIROS, Portland's semi-professional mixed chorus specializing in Orthodox liturgical music, will host auditions for new singers Sunday, July 6 at 6pm, St. Nicholas Church, 2210 SW Dolph Court, Portland, Oregon.
Singers should be adept at music reading and experienced in choral singing. Interested singers can contact Tracey Edson (Rdr. John), Director, at tryedson@aol.com / 503-421-0488 for more information.
Singers are joined by members of Capella Romana, as well as other professional singers.
KLIROS will be singing Great Vespers for the holy martyrs Probus, Tarachus & Adronichus, Saturday, October 11, 6pm at St. Nicholas with music composed by Tchaikovsky. Ordinary service parts in Slavonic, propers in English.
Thank you for Jazzing It Up: A big thank you to everyone who joined us on May 3rd at the ASA Gala! We had an awesome 20's themed time and raised serious money for the school and eventual new building! Greetings to all in the midst of our Great Lent. Many of you have been waiting to hear about St. Johns Family Camp and we are pleased, with God's grace, to announce this years Family Camp will be held AUGUST 17-22 at Sky Camp, near Eugene Oregon, our previous location. The theme this year is "Transfigured by the Glory of God!" This is a spiritual retreat for the whole family, where you can come and refresh you soul and get the best of both a retreat and a vacation!
