Holy New Martyrs of Russia Orthodox Church in Mulino is hosting a seminar on reason and historical evidence behind the faith. The seminar will be in Russian and will take place on Sunday, November 9 at 12pm.

13820 S. Union Hall Rd., Mulino, OR 97042

Modern Heresies and the Orthodox Reply, October 2, 9 & 16

Join us for this free three part series at 7-8:30pm on October 2, 9 & 16 at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church.

The Seven Ecumenical Councils decisively put to rest heresies of the ancient world. However, heresies did not end with the last council in the 8 th century. Since then, hundreds of heresies have cropped up and infected the thinking of Christians. This class will cover some well-known modern heresies, their source and their impact on our thinking and spirituality. Heresies such as the Protestant Reformation, Materialism, Post-Modernism, Atheism, and Darwinian Evolution will be covered and the Orthodox replies to these heresies will be discussed.
