About The Ancient Church Reading Room

The mission of the Ancient Church reading room is twofold:

  • to create a beautiful, welcoming space where people have the opportunity to encounter God and the ancient Christian Church through art, reading and discussion, and
  • to give voice to the Orthodox Church in Forest Grove, Oregon, actively witnessing to the incredible beauty and richness of Christian life, practice and Truth.

We would particularly like to encourage any Orthodox people who are interested in coming to bring along non-Orthodox friends, as we hope to offer something people can take away for their immediate relationships with God from the deep teachings and rich life of Orthodox Christianity.
